Lung Cancer & COPD in the 9/11 Community Webinar

Lung Cancer & COPD in the 9/11 Community Webinar

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2020 at 7 PM EST

Please join Barasch & McGarry for a Free Live Webinar on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 7 pm EST. We will be joined by Daniel H. Sterman, MD FCCP, ATSF, Director of Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at NYU Langone Health.

We are hosting this free online event to spread the word about the World Trade Center Health Program and Victim Compensation Fund. November is Lung Cancer and COPD Awareness Month. According to the World Trade Center Health Program, lung cancer is the sixth most common cancer, and COPD is one of the most insidious pulmonary illnesses in the 9/11 community. Anyone who was in Lower Manhattan on 9/11 or during any part of the 8 months that followed may be eligible for free health care and significant compensation. That includes not only first responders but residents, workers, students, and teachers who were also exposed to the toxic air. Join us to learn more about these programs. RSVP here.

The DEADLINE to register a cancer or death claim with the Victim Compensation Fund has been extended to JULY 29, 2021. If you or anyone you know had cancer or lost a family member more than two years ago due to a 9/11-related illness, you can still register. Take advantage of the benefits to which you are entitled.
